Here are some skill you could try mixing, [skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill] with some of the longer recharging binding rituals such as [skill]Shelter[/skill] or [skill]Union[/skill]. This will help make them recharge faster, you could use that, then later you could get [skill]Ritual Lord[/skill] which will replace [skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill]. Thats all I can think of, maybe some other people can help.

Just about any build can bring a Ritualist to Survivor titles, as we're normaly a backline class anyway and can stay away from danger.

Personally, I'd be wary of spirit-spamming. Although you'll be at the back line, the fact that some of those spirits are 3-5 second casts means that you'll be immobile for a decent period of time. If two or three melee characters decide you look like lunch, you may not be able to kite them effectively enough to keep yourself alive.

Restoration will be one of the easiest ways, however, simply because you have the ability to focus healing on yourself if you don't like the way things are looking. If you use a more mobile build (perhaps one that relies upon Item Spells and standard healing), however, you'll be able to not only heal yourself if needed, but also kite damage away if enemies decide to hate you.

And keep your fingers on the Alt-F4 like all good Survivors.

I disagree on Alt f4+ keep your guild screen up and be ready to click the Guild Hall button. That is according to me the fastest way ever as closing guildwars in any way may not sever the connection entirely and therefore leave you vulnerable to attacks without any form of counter-measure. Guild hall button FTW you don't need to confirm travel as you do in map travel or look for an outpost to click. Without doubt the best way imo.
